Delete Your Cattly Account

You can permanently delete your Cattly account and the personal data linked to it at any time. This page explains exactly how to do it and what happens to your data.

Cattly is a livestock marketplace operated by the Cattly team. Deleting your account is free, and you can do it yourself from inside the app in under a minute — or ask us to do it for you by email.

1. Delete from the app (fastest)

  1. Open the Cattly app and make sure you are signed in.
  2. Tap the Profile tab in the bottom bar.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm on the prompt. Your account and associated data are deleted right away.
This is permanent. Deletion cannot be undone — your listings, conversations and profile are removed for good. If you only want to pause, simply sign out instead.

2. Delete by email (if you can't open the app)

If you've lost access to the app or your device, email support@cattly.in (or privacy@cattly.in) from your registered contact with the subject "Delete my account" and the phone number on your account. We verify the request is genuinely yours, then delete your account and data on your behalf.

3. What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

  • Your profile and identity data — name, profile photo, language preference, and the phone-number-linked account itself.
  • All of your listings and their photos.
  • Your conversations, chat history and voice recordings.
  • Any blocks and reports you created.
  • Any seller-verification documents (e.g. Aadhaar images) you had uploaded.

4. What we keep (and why)

  • A minimal verification audit record — only the outcome of any seller verification (approved or not) and its date. We never keep your document images or Aadhaar number.
  • Anything the law requires us to retain, kept only for as long as the law requires and then deleted.

We do not sell your data, and we do not retain a shadow copy of your profile after deletion. See our Privacy Policy for full details on retention.

5. How long it takes

  • In-app deletion takes effect immediately — your files and records are removed as part of the request.
  • Email requests are completed within 30 days of us confirming your identity, usually much sooner.
  • Encrypted backups that may still contain your data are rotated out and purged within 30 days.
